The pictures above were
taken of Hombre as a two year old when he was on the show circuit
with Robert and Portia Sue Owens in 94/95.
Hombre has reduced size,
primarily produced fillies, and has often added superb Appaloosa coat
patterns to his foals. Hombre doesn't appear to carry the pinto gene
from his mother as he has not produced pinto color unless bred to
pinto to date. His personality is docile, yet he is no push over if
his mares may think they can take advantage of his small size.
Hombre has given our herd
the genetic diversity we were looking for with his blood being from
Argentina. We have been so pleased with Hombre's babies we have
retained some of his fillies for our future breeding program.
